I gave up at about page 250 of about 800. From my former job I know a lot about European electrical nets, so the details were nothing new to me. Perhaps for other readers it would all be fresh and new, but for me the never ending descriptions of the impact of a cyber attack, Europe wide power failure really detract from the actual narrative of the plot -- glacial at best, with too many characters and settings. I would recommend it only to those with a fanatical devotion to German technical vocabulary and an extremely good German online dictionary. Bing translation is of some help, but even German native speakers will probably need to use it heavily.

Das Thema ist ganz aktuell, Einbruch in Computersysteme, allerdings nicht von der NSA sondern von Terroristen.
Ziel ist mit der Unterbrechung der Elektrizität der Absturz der Zivilisation und die Rückkehr zu angeblich natürlicher Lebensweise.
Der Roman verliert sich in sehr breiter Schilderung von Volksaufständen, Plünderungen, Lynchorgien, etc. etc. bereits nach wenigen Tagen. Diese Schilderungen sind weit übertrieben und wenig glaubhaft.
Wenig Raum nimmt in dem Roman leider der eigentliche Inhalt der elektronischen Attacken und was konkret passieren soll. Die Beschreibungen wie diese Attacken funktionieren sollen sind zudem wenig überzeugend.
Für einen guten Roman springt die Handlung auch zu wild zwischen vielen Charakteren hin und her.

Very interesting scenario
Spannend und technisch stimmig geschrieben. Allein die Reaktion der BEvölkerung halte ich für übertrieben. Ich glaube kaum, dass nach einigen Tagen bereits Anarchie herrscht...
Ich war gefesselt von der Story, die inhaltlich sehr schluessig und spannend war. Ich kann das Buch jedem, der Fiction/Science Fiction mag, sehr empfehlen
Sehr gutes Buch. Die Hörfassung ist gut gelesen.
Spannend zu denken was passiert wenn der Strom länger weg ist.
Said it was in "Like New" condition... not the case. The sleeve was not super pretty, looked like it had gotten wet at some point, which I could've gotten over, had the record been in good condition... also not the case.... Both the songs "Blackout" and "No One Like You" skipped so horribly, they were unplayable. The rest of the songs did alright, but missing out on those two was kind of a bummer. Pretty much I have to buy the record again another time, another place, and the sleeve isn't even nice enough to just frame as wall art.... Not too pleased here.
