Refugee Boy Benjamin Zephaniah Books

Refugee Boy Benjamin Zephaniah Books
Since I spent my childhood in Ethiopia I am hardly an unbiased reviewer. The style is simple and very clear which makes the impact of the story so much more profound. Emotionally I am Ethiopian although white and not native born. I am Ethiopian in the deepest emotional sense because I lived my childhood there from age 2 to age 16. In this book the story of an Ethiopian refugee child trying to adapt to life in London shows from a child's point of view the enormous stress and suffering that is placed on children who are dislocated from their "homelands." It also clearly tells the history of Ethiopia in the past 40 years. In the past 40 years Ethiopia has gone from illiteracy to literacy. In those 40 years It has also politically tried to compress a transition from empire to democracy that took most developed countries two or three centuries. It takes great skill to write a seemingly simple story and say so much.

Refugee Boy Benjamin Zephaniah Books Reviews
When I read this book it felt like something that we all can relate to
The ending had a feeling like we should expect a sequel
This Was a great book, everything about it was AWSOME but it very sad! I would recommend someone to buy this book, it's worth the price
Thank you Benjamin for telling the world what is still happening in Eritrea. Many people would struggle to know where this country is on the map let alone how the people of this country have been brutalised for over 100 years. Great book.
Although this book is realistic fiction, it touched my heart on so many levels! This book is timeless, sincere, and a must read!
Great
My book it’s missing... the app says I received the package, but it's not true ( what we can do?
Text has typos and lack of stage directions. Confusing dialogue. Will no purchase for my entire class to study.
