When Eric LeMoullec writes "The End", it is so not the end...There is more to tell about a hero that has defied all odds and survives to be a shining example of courage. Kudos, Erik, for allowing the Love in your Saba's heart to shine through, all the while not sparring the reader the truth of the horrors that occurred in the darkest time in history. Survival, love and family was as gripping as the haunting imagery that was captured in the telling of Teddy's story ...I am amazed at how the author can tell his grandfather's story so intimately.. He was definitely listening and that takes a lot of courage when the horror story is about someone you obviously loved very much (and who clearly loved you)....A Must Read

Review of Remember Your Name This is an incredible but true story of a man's survival during the Holocaust. I was riveted by the tenacity and determination of the victims of this nightmare.it's a true tribute to the triumph of the human spirit.

This is information that needs to be past on to every generation so that what happened in the Holocaust is never forgotten. The subject matter is difficult to read, unimaginable, but unfortunately too true. The author's way of telling his daughter,Hayden, about her grandfather's war time struggles is very compelling.
Because this written in the vocabulary of a young adult level book at first I thought I would not like it. However it was excellent and I recommend it.
I read a lot of Holocaust memoirs; this ranks as one of the best I've read, and I highly recommend it to anybody who wants a really good Holocaust book. Well written and totally absorbing and easy to understand and follow.
We all have childhood stories to tell our Grandchildren. But many older folk of Jewish decent have more to tell than others. These stories MUST be told so that when those who suffered more than one can imagine are gone their stories will live on and tell the truth. In 2015, we are already hearing that it didn't happen. But it did and we should be ashamed to hurt those people and their families again. I am so glad President Eisenhower said " get a lot of pictures to show the truth ,because one day they will be saying it didn't happen." How prophetic!
This was a great book, well written and fills you with all kinds of emotions. The main character, Teddy, tells his story in a way that touches your heart and soul. His writing makes it as though you are right there with him in everything that he sees, hears, experiences, feels and goes through. A very good book that allows you to be a part of the Holocaust in ways not experienced before. This book never slows or gets boring. I highly recommend this book for people interested in Holocaust survivor stories. One of the better ones I've read.
An amazing story about a truly unique and heroic person. Erik LeMoullec tells the story of his grandfather's life in Lodz, Poland when he was a young boy through his trials in the Lodz Ghetto and his harrowing survival in Auschwitz. Though it may not be the literary equal of Elie Weisel's or Primo Levi's memoirs of the times, it is an equally readable and impelling book. The main character Teddy will stay with you after the book, and make you wish you could sit and talk to him. I recommend this book for any one interested in the Holocaust, and anyone interested in how humans react in horrific situations. It is touching and not without rays of humor. It would also be a good book for junior or senior high school students. I hope Mr. LeMoullec continues his Saba's story!
